Architect’s home and study

Spain

This apartment and Architect's study is part of the rehabilitation of an old building in Granada.

It was very important for the architects to obtain a joint free and rustic, rough look on this polished concrete floor, in order to match and mix in with the white walls, exposed old wooden beams and exposed brick walls.

The floor is laid in 12 mm thickness over a self leveling mortar floor base. There are no joints in the floor has no joints throughout the entire flat. All 118 m2 are cast in one piece and includes the installation of underfloor heating.
